SVS SB-1000

Pros

• Parent context: Is the SVS SB-1000 ok for movie? Reply: It will be much better than what you already have.
• The sb1000 is far more a sub than a sealed 8" Paradigm.
• If you want dual subs to tame room modes and such, dual SB-1000's would suffice here just fine.
• If this is music only, and by that I mean that you do not care about output below about 40 Hz, the SB is probably fine if the room isn't that big and you don't listen at insane levels or with the bass turned way up.
• Aim for something like the SVS SB-1000 at least, or something comparable in specs.

Cons

• Weren’t the sb-1000’s like $400 new? Idk if $300 for a used and semi-outdated sub is worth it.
• If you're a fan of deep bass, add a DSP crossover and a used SVS SB-1000.
• Sealed SB-1000 subs won't work here
• SB-1000's will not be an upgrade over 10E's at least in terms of output.
• The sb1000 will be tighter. If 100% music I could see a case for the sb1000, otherwise you'd be downgrading
