Pros

  • They’ve really stepped up their game, I’ve been playing for 25 years and I think Squiers and Epiphones are an incredible bang for the buck.
  • I'm shocked at how far squire has come
  • On the other hand, **NO ONE** fakes a Squier or Epiphone. It's just not worth it in terms of effort and margin profit for swindling people. Thus you always get the original, genuine products with proper QC and stuff if you get those bran...
  • Parent context: Congrats dude! A very important milestone in any man’s life Reply: Ingot a contemporary and although some of the cheap a parts needed upgrading and the paint job isnt PERFECT it plays amazing and the pickups kill.
  • I have a more recently-manufactured Squier Tele and Squier Strat, and they are every bit on par with more expensive and "higher-end" guitars I have.

Cons

  • Those old Yamahas were great - probably better for the money than the equivalent Squiers, as you weren't paying for the name.
  • A Squier with double humbuckers and four knobs like a Les Paul? Interesting.
  • Parent context: I literally couldn't believe my eyes. I assumed it had to be a partscaster someone sold as a genuine article... But no. Squier decal on a completely non-Squire headstock. Baffling. Reply: Squier decal on a completely non-...
  • Who the fuck is faking a squire?!? Cons play 3D chess I just can't keep up with
  • I paid that price last time I said, "Nobody's faking a Squier."

On the other hand, **NO ONE** fakes a Squier or Epiphone. It's just not worth it in terms of effort and margin profit for swindling people. Thus you always get the original, genuine products with proper QC and stuff if you get those brands. Which is my exact reason to not getting Fender and Gibson, and I'm sticking with my Squier and Epiphone.

Kirk uses his whammy but my Squier has intonation that is Not the Greatest so using it knocks it noticeably out of tune.
