Pros
- Epi is better (my opinion).
- In the same price range, Epiphone > Gibson. I'd personally say top Epis are way more reasonable of a purchase than 2k+ gibsons, unless you're a brand fanboy.
- Parent context: It’s completely possible for an Epi or other a Squier to be better than a Gibson or Fender. Reply: Completely possible, but I do think that Epiphone has a much better likelihood to be better than a Gibson, then a Squier h...
- They’ve really stepped up their game, I’ve been playing for 25 years and I think Squiers and Epiphones are an incredible bang for the buck.
- I’d honestly take Epi over Gibson every time.
Cons
- Parent context: I mean it plays better than the $800 epiphone that I used to have so I think it’s served more than its price tag states Reply: It may very well have come out of one of the same factories that makes epiphones

- My friend brought over this guitar that has a weird fret at the neck. Also tiny box on the back. No serial#. Nothing on the headstock.
- I know they're good but $800 is way too much for a Chinese Epiphone.
- I missed out on an Epiphone one when I could afford it, but now they're silly money.

On the other hand, **NO ONE** fakes a Squier or Epiphone. It's just not worth it in terms of effort and margin profit for swindling people. Thus you always get the original, genuine products with proper QC and stuff if you get those brands. Which is my exact reason to not getting Fender and Gibson, and I'm sticking with my Squier and Epiphone.
I think it's cool for Epiphone because they were a good name even before Gibson owned them, and even though they're the cheaper version, they're still good quality.
Looks identical to the Epiphone I bought back in 2002. Man I miss that guitar.
