Fender

Pros

• R.e your question about the Player II, while the Fender should be a step up quality wise it means you will also need to shell out extra for a practice amp, cables etc.
• Just picked up my first Fender after playing Epiphone’s/Squire’s for the last three years.
• Parent context: I'm surprised at the lack of people mentioning Fender Reply: Yeah idk there’s something about a classic tweed that does it for me
• Guy was saying that if my squier was as good as my fender, there was something wrong with the fender. No matter how much I explained that despite their differences they were equally as good through an amp, he just wouldn't accept it.
• Haven't been this excited about an instrument since I was a teenager buying my first Fender.

Cons

• Much like how everybody associates Fender with blues and country
• i always thought i was a strictly fender guy until i joined a band with guys that play gibson.
• It’s definitely a guitar, but not an authentic fender. The previous owner diy’d a 22nd fret which is why it’s crooked/misplaced, even with perfect intonation that fret is unlikely to be in tune
• I recently got my first guitar second hand, and knew absolutely nothing about guitars but now i suspect it might be fake, i feel like the very last fret is weird and the logo print and i can’t find a serial number
• not much into Fenders myself but I love the body of the Meteora.
