Sony Bravia Theatre Trio

Pros

• I recently installed the trio with rear 9s and 2 sub 9s and the sound is amazing. I’m coming from a fairly high end in wall setup (monitor audio) and a Marrantz receiver and the Sony is miles ahead.
• - The Spatial Audio Mapping is next-level. I truly heard stuff that I have never heard on my previous system - The immersion is significantly better than HT-A9 - A lot louder than HT-A9 at similar volume levels - Stronger, louder and mor...
• - The Trio sounds amazing in its full glory - The Atmos effects are the best among the three - Overall Spatial Audio processing is a significant step up from the Quad - The build quality is pretty good too contrary to what some have said...

Cons

• I am a bit skeptical and was leaning more towards the Quad when compared to the Trio after reading some reviews criticizing its central speaker performance when compared with the rest of its speakers.
• I just got my refund from Amazon on my Trio with rear 9 and dual sub 9's, but that was for nearly $3,200, which considering app would constantly lose connectivity, made for an easy return.
• RTINGS said when disabling soundfield on the trio, the sound becomes congested and stereo image is off.
• Personally I would not consider the Trio at all for 400 bucks more. Personally I don't think the trios front R and L is well matched with the bar tonally.
• As i said in a previous post about sony bravia trio. This system makes zero sense. When you add a sub and surrounds the cost is extremely high. For much less you could build a traditional set up that will heavily outperform it... This sy...
