Pros
- I had just done my first Sofwave independently earlier this week, and the doctor recommended that I get moisturizer and sunscreen at local spots like Olive Young.
- If laxity is already in the mix, the sensible order is tightening first — Ultherapy, Sofwave, XERF, whatever suits the depth — and masseter Botox as one part of the plan rather than the whole plan.
- i've had sofwave done and it gives me some tightening and i love the results but i would not compare to non surgical facelift
- yes sofwave will help with light sagging. I've had it done and saw tightening in my lower face and neck area (those were my main problem areas).
- Yeah I did softwave because I felt like I was getting mild jowls and it honestly made a difference. I just did my lower face. I’m in my early 30s too.
Cons
- CHINESE INFLUENCER went blind from SOFWAVE I recently came across a case that honestly made me a bit concerned about safety standards in some clinics, so I wanted to share this for awareness. Apparently, a clinic in Seoul collaborated...

Sofwave only goes a specific depth to the mid dermis and does not reach the fat layer so its the least concern with fat loss.
You could look into treatments like Thermage, Sofwave, or XERF since they don’t usually require strict sun avoidance like lasers or microneedling.
Sofwave is shallower. It’s much more comfortable and great for skin quality, fine lines and early laxity, but it doesn’t reach that deeper structural layer so it’s more of a skin rejuvenation treatment than a true lifting device.
Sofwave is good for collagen and elastin stimulation. I've gotten it and its definitely helped tighten my jowls and neck area (my main concerns).
Lifting (sofwave/xerf/tuneface - these have minimal downtime)
