Pros

  • I've never gotten xerf but I've gotten thermage a few times and I've liked the results. I lost a lot of face fat when losing weight and thus a lot of facial volume.
  • In Korean clinics, we frequently pair lower dose masseter Botox with skin tightening treatments (like Ultherapy, Thermage, or targeted RF) to ensure the skin contracts alongside the muscle.
  • Some treatments are a single event. Ultherapy, Thermage, HIFU, botox, filler. You get it once, the result shows up and settles over the next few weeks, and there's nothing else you need to do.
  • From everything I’ve seen it sounds like a more expensive, less affective version of Thermage. I’d just do Thermage.
  • She says as of now she definitely prefers thermage for lifting and tightening because it's something you may only need once every three to five years.

Cons

  • And I've done ultherapy and thermage (which is more similar to xerf). Thermage hurt the most.
  • Heat, which is the lifting devices, Ultherapy, Xerf, Thermage, Onda.
  • I disagree, Thermage HURTS! I feel it should be higher on the list for the amount of pain. Especially due to no numbing due to needing to knowing if it’s too hot
  • RF tightening (Thermage, and the newer RF devices). Waves of warmth with brief hot moments. On modern machines with adjustable energy levels, plenty of people just chat through the session. Older machines and maxed-out settings are a d...
  • What makes it stand out from older RF treatments like Thermage is that it uses two frequencies instead of one, letting it treat the shallow, middle, and deep layers of skin in a single session.

I did more intense treatments than my friend, two of them being Thermage under my eyes and on my neck and Rejuran on my face. I was fine the next day some little raised bumps, but you couldn’t tell that much.

For a layover you may be limited to laser treatments (thermage), potenza or skin boosters (polynucleotides, exosomes).
