- made some salmon for lunch today. i love this skillet with my whole soul
- I did buy it and gave it a good cleaning and it has the BEST smooth, glass seasoning already. I have 2 of my husband’s grandmothers skillets and it reminds me of those. My favorites. I just made some eggs in it this morning.
Cons
- Def a crack. I've had a larger pan with a crack almost exactly like this one, and others that have run only along the bottom. I wouldn't risk using it.
- on the outside, that looks like a sand shift casting flaw. Those usually are only cosmetic, but in this case it looks like it weakened the pan enough that a crack formed along it.
- You're right, it does look like sand shift on the outside but sand shift doesn't run through to the inside like that. I'd say it's a countdown to D Day for this one.
- $135 for a cracked skillet is bullhonkey
- $135 for a broken skillet?

The seller claimed this skillet was a family heirloom, and the amount of seasoning and buildup on it confirmed that it was well-used over its 70-plus-year life. It survived cleaning and a few rounds of seasoning. I've cooked a few eggs on it myself, and it has yet to disappoint.

Well considering the crack in the Skillet making it un-usable it's 100% not worth that price.
