Third vote for dish soap, ESPECIALLY Dawn if you have it. (Most brands work, but I've found Dawn is best.)

I would give this a good scrub with a scrub daddy and dawn and cook.

The rust appeared mostly gone so I did 3 rounds of seasoning with great value vegetable oil. ... Washed it with dawn dish soap and went to start my seasoning process again

between uses, for every change of food item, even going from peeling and cutting potatoes to cutting mushrooms, I wash my boards with Dawn or any other equivalent and hot water, scrub well for 30 seconds or more, rinse and dry them, and use them again.
