Pros

  • The SFT40 3000k is hands down my favorite emitter. So beautiful!
  • have sft 40 3000k I really like it, but I want it a little warmer
  • Go for it, can't go wrong with SFT40 3000K!
  • I really like Convoy's tan color, and yes I think the SFT40 3000K is great in that reflector.
  • SFT40 3000K yes. I have it in T6. I have bigger brother SFT70 3000K in C8+, M21E & M21B. Love that golden high cri sunset light in the palm of my hand.

Cons

  • SFT40 3000k is very unusual also being a very warm throwy emitter and also high CRI. Mine is not green, but had a bit of tint shift in the beam. It's actually quite pink in the centre of the hotspot.
  • Parent context: I don't like it in the stock reflector (convoy) is shipping them in (S line) as the aperture is too small (reflector resting on the emitter), with OP reflector thats fixed, and I actually prefer the beam profile too, got...

SFT-40 3000K is not only a Hi-CRI emitter, it's architectually one of the most robust designs as well as being visually one of the best looking emittrrs.

Parent context: I don't like it in the stock reflector (convoy) is shipping them in (S line) as the aperture is too small (reflector resting on the emitter), with OP reflector thats fixed, and I actually prefer the beam profile too, got a smoother than average OP reflector and now the beam is just perfect (but this is ofcourse subjective). SFT-40 3000K is not only a Hi-CRI emitter, it's architectually one of … Reply: The stock smooth reflector is ringy, the hotspot has too much glare and I didn't like the cutoff of the spill. It's not that I dislike smooth reflectors, I just dislike it indoors and at close range.
