Sennheiser MKE 600

Pros

• do i just get mke 600 which not as good indoors but super easy to get my hands on and i think sounds nice overall
• MKE600 on a stand as close as you possibly can without being intrusive. It has decent range, but will pick up the atmosphere.
• I have an MKE 600 I know would be more than adequate for what I want, but am trying to avoid using the xlr top handle.
• You have a great kit, especially for still being in college and only working for less than a year. I recommend using your G3’s and MKE600 for as long as possible. Your kit is definitely capable.

Cons

• Honestly the sound has been excellent and for my needs it’s more than good enough. My only real gripe is the length. It’s a long mic and it makes the whole rig feel unbalanced and awkward, especially when I’m moving around.
• Why did the mke 600 record any timecode sound?
• the mke600 is kinda humongous relative to me just wanting to carry my fx3 around with me on vacation.
• I think the mke600 sounds very boxy and unpleasant. A good boom mic is key.
