Cons

  • Each of my 8 pin PCIe connectors has a daisy. Can I do asymmetrical connection where one of the 8pin's daisy plugs is plugged into the third adapter socket?
  • The price is fine, but it's generally not recommended unless you're on an extreme budget.
  • Using a daisy chain cable drastically increases the risk of melting, so it's far from ideal but if you only have 2, that's your only option short of upgrading the PSU.
  • a guy near me is selling a Seasonic Focus GX 750W for $45, its a couple years old but he says it worked fine up until he upgraded

a guy near me is selling a Seasonic Focus GX 750W for $45, its a couple years old but he says it worked fine up until he upgraded, im trying to do some research and i checked a few places and even looked around on some online platforms but its kinda annoying i cant always see the condition details without going back and forth with the seller which makes it harder to compare options properly. Do you guys check anything specific when buying a used PSU like does the age matter more than the brand or the hours its been running and is $45 for a Seasonic GX a good deal or is he overcharging me?
