AI summary of the Reddit excerpts below — not a quote
Saudia is generally well-regarded by travelers for its reliability and service quality, often described as performing better than typical European carriers though slightly below top-tier Asian airlines. Reviewers highlight the use of modern aircraft on domestic routes and appreciated cultural touches like traditional Saudi coffee and better-than-average economy amenities.
Pros
- Reliable operations with reportedly few cancellations
- Modern fleet, specifically noted on flights to AlUla and Riyadh
- Thoughtful economy amenities, including gift bags with socks
- Unique hospitality features such as Saudi coffee
- Favorable refund policy for direct bookings through their website
Cons
- Operational focus is primarily on Saudi Arabian hubs, with more limited connectivity in other GCC locations
Caveats
- Direct communication via phone or online chat is recommended for confirming specific flight details
- Users advise navigating directly to the official website for refunds rather than following email links
Best for
- Travelers flying into or through Saudi Arabian hubs like Jeddah and Riyadh
- Passengers seeking a higher standard of service than standard European economy
Avoid if
- You require extensive point-to-point connectivity between non-Saudi GCC cities

Saudia is still operating through Saudi Arabia airports, just not the other main GCC locations. The text in green on my original post seems to have been manually added.

I was on Saudia from AMS->JED and it was a lovely experience. I’d say the airline is somewhere above European and slightly below Asian airlines. They have unique Saudi Coffee and were well accommodating. Amenities bag for economy came with nice socks.
I flew with Saudia twice more JED-ALU and ALU-RUH, both pleasant experiences with brand new planes.
