Pros

  • For SSDs I wasn't sure if the brand mattered, all I've ever heard people talk about was the Samsung 990.
  • Samsung 980, 990, or 9100 pro are all solid choices. They are all very close in performance but just different generations.
  • Id suggest the 7800x3d or 9850x3d on either an MSI or Gigabyte b850 motherboard. 32gb ddr5 minimum and 64gb would probably be better. getting a ssd like the Crucial t705 or samsung 990.
  • Brands: WD Black SN770, Samsung 990, Crucial P3 Plus
  • I have an old Samsung 990 and I wanted to get a new Samsung 9100. Can I use both or does it screw with performance having different ones?

Cons

  • Samsung 990 and WD black are overkill for gaming. You really don't need overpriced SSDs these days.
