Rode NTG3

Pros

• An NTG3, MKH416, CS3e will survive quite well for a while, put them in a blimp and also have dead cat on for a bit of moisture insulation.
• I was thinking NTG3 since it's a moisture resistant.
• I have an ok starter kit, have a Sound Devices Mixpre6 II, two pairs of Sennheiser G 4 lavs, a boom pole, a NTG4+ and a NTG3 for shotguns.
• I’ve had a couple NTG3’s since 2017 and they’re fantastic microphones, maybe pick one up used if you can find one cheap
• I've had it about 1 year. ... It's never given me any problems. I really actually have grown to love and appreciate it.

Cons

• I only have experience with COS 11, NTG3 and S-mic 2S, it's just different for every location, noise type and talent.
• If I would have to make a guess it’s the NTG3, judging by the color and the used mount.
• I have one which I would say exhibits way higher noise than I expected. I was so surprised that I rented the second unit back when I had bought this one but the other one was very very similar so I just thought it is maybe characteristic...
