We used Makers Mark for the bourbon and Rittenhouse for the rye.

For years, I have tended toward cheaper ryes that straddle the line between bourbon and rye (with some only containing 51% rye in the mashbill): Rittenhouse, Wild Turkey 101 rye, and Old Forester rye.
