RenoDX has a HDR monitor built in, it has a couple of active graphs showing you the “nits” and colour gamut of the game you are playing. It also breaks down RGB and tells you the brightness of each.

Otherwise use RENODX & LUMA framework mods on as many single player games as possible to have the best HDR from the get go without fiddling. They either fix poor implementations, or adds proper true engine HDR to games lacking it.

for HDR I recommend looking first into RenoDX mods if there are any available for the game you're playing... With a bit of tweaking you can get great results with pretty much any game.

pretty much every new game that comes out nowadays has a RenoDX mod which fixes the HDR issues if a game has them or outright adds HDR rendering to games that never even supported it in the first place.

Renodx LITERALLY transforms games and even makes some titles look like a brand new title as in the case of Dying Light for example.

RenoDX/Luma mods are typically excellent. Installing Reshade is very easy, and you just typically paste the RenoDX file/Luma files next to the games executable, and boom you're done.

usually theres just a single mod for games that fixes HDR called Renodx and it has a list of every game they support. It usually isn't much effort and games look great

HDR is already famous for having trash implementation in a lot of games, renodx is the answer
