  • Some books that I think are great for beginners, with prose that's not too complex, and a nice length: * Richard Matheson - *I Am Legend* * Robert Bloch - *Psycho* * Ira Levin - *Rosemary's Baby* * William Peter Blatty - *The Exorcist*...
  • If you haven't read Red Dragon and Silence of the Lambs they are kind of the gold standard of crime/horror.
  • Yeah Red Dragon is the gold standard as far as I’m concerned
  • there's SO many books that are ostensibly thrillers that can be quite genuinely scary (Red Dragon, Night Film, The Whisper Man, Child of God etc)
  • Red dragon has better build and keycap print than tvs. + Both are chinese and in terms of body flex also RD wins.

  • Didn't quite enjoy this a lot, I think it was too much of a crime-setting for my taste.
  • Silence of the Lambs and the lesser known Red Dragon, both by Thomas Harris.
  • I did not like it so much with Red Dragon, which had the main character be more on the emotional/thoughtful side of thinking.

if you like horror crime books, you should totally check out red dragon. it’s so well written and the fbi investigation feels very thorough. i loved it!!
