For Google I've had good luck with rclone. Have synced a 1TB Google drive share. I've never used it for Google photos but it says it supports that too.
Secondary backup: Offsite rotation using a couple of USB drives + cloud sync (rclone to B2).
I think `rclone` would be awesome for this. `rclone` can work on local and cloud services. You can mout encrypted folders in the system. It would be especially useful for people who store their notes in cloud services like Google Drive, Dropbox, etc., since the cloud services will only see encrypted files.
