Pros

  • Monitoring: Prometheus / Grafana
  • Using Prometheus to query Plex API and Grafana for dashboard visualization.
  • One docker-compose later, Unbound, Loki, Prometheus, Grafana, and Traefik were capturing live traffic and turning it into a map of stray queries, bad configs, and automated scanning.
  • Some parts of the lab are purely useful only for me like Prometheus or Grafana because I simply like to see numbers and pretty graphs
  • Proxmox handles the VMs, Synology DSM dishes storage, Portainer runs the Docker stack, Traefik fronts it, Grafana+Prometheus track it, Pihole cleans DNS, Merchynt sits with Matomo and Uptime Kuma for client SEO/site checks. Keeps everyth...

Cons

  • Prometheus: Continuity no longer matters
  • I'd rather have grafana dashboards templates for services via prometheus. Because yet another monitoring app that will only be compatible with certain services.
  • The atmosphere, the production design, and the way it builds that sense of dread in the first half are amazing it feels like Ridley Scott is about to give us another sci-fi masterpiece. Michael Fassbender as David? Exceptional. But the f...

The atmosphere, the production design, and the way it builds that sense of dread in the first half are amazing it feels like Ridley Scott is about to give us another sci-fi masterpiece. Michael Fassbender as David? Exceptional. But the film continues to undermine itself with clunky dialogue, characters making ridiculous decisions, and a script that feels like it's trying too hard to be profound while hiding the answers.

I can recommend Grafana/Prometheus/Loki if you haven't one already.
