Pros

  • Cole Werhle's best game in my (likely unpopular) opinion
  • Pax Pamir is my personal favourite.
  • Has to be Pax Pamir. I own hundreds of games and nothing comes close to the complete package of Pax Pamir. Box design, components, rule book, artwork, etc. It is hitting on all cylinders.
  • Pax Pamir is excellent.
  • Pax Pamir is so up my alley, the production is insane.

Cons

  • A part of me wanted to put it down here below the others because it simply is, in my opinion, a game with less meat on its bones than all the others. ... That said, there’s another part of me who wants to recommend this game above all ot...
  • While I haven't been able to get certain non-gamers into pax pamir or John company, I have been able to get those same people to play molly house.
  • The game is very language sensitive so if you're not a minimum of c1 french speaker you won't enjoy it.
  • Most of the 46 on the list fall into that latter category of a sliding market (Concordia, Pax Pamir, etc.).

A part of me wanted to put it down here below the others because it simply is, in my opinion, a game with less meat on its bones than all the others. ... That said, there’s another part of me who wants to recommend this game above all others precisely because it’s the most “normal” board game in this list, and therefore the best entry point for the others.

You're missing the obvious Pax Pamir 2nd edition considering you like a good theme, good art and don't mind some heavier euros.

When you play games like Root, Oath, Arcs, John Company, or Pax Pamir, you notice that playing these games 2 or 3 times is not even enough for you to understand how much ground they cover.

Pax Pamir is the only Wehrle game I like and it is not asymmetric.
