AI summary of the Reddit excerpts below — not a quote

The NZXT H5 Flow is a compact ATX mid-tower case favored for its minimalist aesthetic and ease of cable management. While it is marketed for high airflow, user feedback on thermal performance is mixed, with some builders reporting higher GPU temperatures compared to competitors. It is generally praised for its compatibility with large air coolers and radiator support, though the quality of the included stock fans is a frequent point of criticism.

Pros

  • Sleek and minimalist design
  • Easy cable management for clean builds
  • Fits large air coolers, including the Dark Rock Pro 5
  • Supports 360mm front and 240mm top radiators

Cons

  • Included stock fans are considered mediocre or low quality
  • Limited clearance for secondary GPUs on the bottom PCIe ports
  • Incompatible with side-connector (Shift) power supplies

Caveats

  • Airflow performance is debated; some users report significantly higher GPU temps than older mesh cases like the Fractal Meshify C.
  • The case is often described as expensive relative to competitors that include better fans.

Best for

  • Minimalist aesthetic builds
  • Standard single-GPU ATX configurations
  • Builders who plan to use aftermarket fans

Avoid if

  • You are planning a dual-GPU setup
  • You are using a power supply with side-facing connectors
  • You want the best possible out-of-the-box thermal performance without buying extra fans

Everywhere I read said this cooler wouldn’t fit in this case. They said “no it’s to big there’s no way you can do that!”. Not sure why I can’t attach an image to this post but the cooler does in fact fit. I just got done building the pc last night and the cooler covered all 4 ram sticks but didn’t touch them and it cleared the case side panel by about an 1/8th of an inch maybe a 1/4 inch. In case anyone else ever wanted to put a dark rock pro 5 cooler in an h5 flow case it does work and don’t listen to anyone saying you can’t.

My daily driver has been using the NZXT H5 Flow since 2023. The new updated version is more slick and minimalistic. Here's the review I wrote of the 2023 model [https://www.techalphas.com/nzxt-h5-flow-rgb-review-2023-model/](https://www.techalphas.com/nzxt-h5-flow-rgb-review-2023-model/) - essentially, it all applies to the newer model, plus the newer one that you can get looks much better.

Case: NZXT H5 Flow - No change, though the included fans are not great, it should be fine for these components. And there are less expensive cases that include better fans. But the H5 Flow is very attractive.

bear in mind you have selected a shift PSU which has the connectors coming out the side, which is not ideal with a regular style ATX case (it's more built for fisahtank cases like the lian li 011 and its many clones).

Case really depends on your personal taste.

The case is the last thing left. It's an NZXT H5 Flow case, and it's horrible. There is no intake on the bottom, so the power supply has to be reversed. And it is a very small case. I was planning on putting in two GPUs. However, there's not enough clearance on the last PCIe port in order for the secondary GPU to fit in the case.

I just completed a build with the NZXT H5 flow. It's not expensive and is easy to cable manage.
