I like both and there are some very easy to build In cases for itx like the nr200p. I would recommend matx for a beginner.
Cases like the NR200P, Meshlicious, or Fractal Terra all have great thermals in standard layout.
Would the NR200P be better?
I thought about modding a NR200P V1 but for some reason, they sell way over 80€ where I live (because they're not made anymore, you know...). That's over what I'm willing to spend on it
the 5080 in itx is gonna be tight but totally doable if you go with something like the nr200p or meshlicious - just budget extra for good fans and maybe an aio since air cooling gets sketchy in cramped builds
I also downsized from the AP201, currently using NR200p (posted that on sff community)
Is it significantly better than NR200P?
Always felt like my NR200P was the sweet spot size wise which is close to the Z20 (Z20 being better due to matx etc).
I just did a build in the Nr200p. It felt a little cheap and the top panel really spoiled the looks for me, but it's got more practical use of space for sure.
I also have a NR200P, I did have a stint with the Fractal Ridge but it wasn’t fun.
