It removed some of the, but I hope it's fine. It's just the raw metal on the tips of one side (they are like a white/silverish coating)... My main concern is the old i7-3770K indentation it left on the D14 over the past 23 years... They are very small, but I'm concerned because the D14 pad has a grooved pattern manufactured into it (I assume for more thermal contact?).
