Pros

  • for ease of use and portability, I'm not aware of anything that will easily best the X1 Pro sound setup.
  • I have used my Nebula X1 Pro for my Nieces birthday party, we had more than 20 people watching Zootopia 2. It comes with a great set of surround sound speakers, microphones, and wheels. Easy to transport if you lift the 72 pounds. It is...
  • The x1 is currently about $1500 less than the visionmaster max . I own both and they’re pretty much neck and neck . The nebula’s iris is dynamic , while we are still waiting on valerion to make the max’s iris dynamic as promised from its...
  • If you want to be mobile and take it to clients, then nebula. It made for that.
  • I also own three other RGB laser projectors the valerion visionmaster max , nebula X1 pro ( mobile indoor/ outdoor) , and I’m waiting on the awol aetherion max . All really good but the XGIMI is just a step above with what it offers .

Cons

  • The X1 Pro can make a lot of sense if you need that portability. If you need to move it around, almost anything else will be a much bigger hassle to setup/teardown. If you just have it in your family room/basement and it's there all the...
  • at $2,000 extra it feels overpriced compared to buying speakers separately like you suggested and using a different projector system.
  • with nearly a $2,000 price difference between the X1 and the X1 Pro, and only audio as the upgrade, I might look for other options.
  • wrong sub for this garbage
  • The X1 fan noise is real – you'll hear it in quiet scenes. If you hate cables and want the simplest setup, the X1 Pro is fine. But for a living room with ambient light, BenQ + soundbar is better value.

The X1 Pro can make a lot of sense if you need that portability. If you need to move it around, almost anything else will be a much bigger hassle to setup/teardown. If you just have it in your family room/basement and it's there all the time, go with a separate audio system.

I own the visionmaster max , nebula x1 pro and they both look really good , hopefully they’ll outlast the extended warranty from purchasing early on kickstarter but I do believe their rated for 25k hours of use .
