AI summary of the Reddit excerpts below — not a quote
The MSI B550M PRO-VDH WiFi is a highly recommended budget-friendly Micro-ATX motherboard for the AM4 platform. It is frequently cited as one of the best value options due to its balance of features, including PCIe 4.0 support, built-in WiFi, and VRMs capable of handling 8-core Zen 3 processors like the Ryzen 5800X.
Pros
- Excellent price-to-performance ratio for budget and mid-range builds.
- Capable VRMs that can support up to an overclocked 8-core Zen 3 CPU.
- Includes essential modern features like WiFi and PCIe 4.0.
- Features a BIOS flashback button, which is useful for CPU compatibility and troubleshooting.
Cons
- Occasional reports of hardware failure or short-circuiting behaviors.
- Limited expansion options compared to full ATX boards due to the Micro-ATX form factor.
Caveats
- While BIOS flashback is included, some users have reported it may not always be able to revive a board if there is a hardware-level short.
- Pricing and availability can vary significantly by region, though it is generally positioned as a budget leader.
Best for
- Budget-conscious AM4 builds using Ryzen 5000 series CPUs.
- Small form factor (Micro-ATX) builds requiring integrated WiFi.
- Users looking for the cheapest reliable B550 board with PCIe 4.0.
Avoid if
- You are building a high-end AM5 system (this board is restricted to AM4).
- You require the extensive PCIe lanes or aesthetic footprint of a full ATX motherboard.

mobo: check msi pro vdh wifi, its better and it cost me like 110
so just looked up b550 motherbourd with wifi these are the cheapest while having some reviews 40 and 144 so i would like to think there both good but is it worth the extra 30$ to get the msi one that has more reviews?
msi b550m pro vdh wifi is usually the cheapest board that can take an overclocked 8-core zen3, but don't know your market/country. pcie4 is on the b550 boards.
It seems a short circuit behavior. Since the board powers on without the CPU but stays dead with it, your motherboard's VRM or the CPU itself is likely shorted.
Or A Ryzen 5800XT/5800X and a MSI B550M Pro VDH wifi mobo.
If it's an mATX case then the Asus prime B550 wifi/ MSI B550M PRO VDH WIFI
even a B550M like the MSI B550M PRO VDH WIFI for 10K INR will do great.
