Monitor Arm

Well the arms are amplifying any and all vibration from your desk - usually the spring loaded arms are doing worse in this aspect. Unless your desk is really stable and sturdy I don't think the issue is with the arm.

There is a massive large object held on by a small hinge and adding an arm is making it even worse. It is physics. The shorter the arm the less the monitor shakes. If the desk is stiffer and has more absorption power it will transfers it less. It all adds up to a terrible experience. One of the reasons I don't like using arms for monitors.

If the purpose of a monitor arm is to free up space because you don't want room taken up by a monitor stand, then front mounting defeats all of that since you'll be taking up a bunch of some of the most valuable space you have.

You're also not going to find an arm that can do this unless you have an exceedingly small monitor as most are not designed to reach all the way across a desk and still be able to point a monitor forward. Monitor arms generally only have two segments, and even the longest monitor arms rarely have enough reach in each segment to get around even a 24" monitor.
