Luxardo Del Santo

Having just recently done a side-by-side, it's not bad at all. Not as deep or complex as proper Chartreuse, but it's pretty great

I recently purchased del santo also & have been enjoying it as a substitute. I’ve been increasing the measurement slightly however to make up for del santos much lower ABV

I mix 50/50 Luxardo Del Santo and Genepy de Chamois. It's the closest in flavor profile I get, doesn't have the ABV but these two bottles are typically cheaper and more accessible than one bottle of green Chartreuse.

I like the Del Santo. It's cheaper than my other go to green herbal liqueur, Faccia Brutto Centerbe.

Well, I think you’re right in that there’s probably no substitution for something like Green Chartreuse, I do think that if you’re having trouble finding Chartreuse or don’t want to pay the price for it, then this could be a good substitute. I think it’s the closest to any of the other so-called substitutes that people taut like Genevy.

Del Santo is my favorite green herbal liqueur. ... But what I like about the Luxardo compared to other bottles like Dolin or Boomsma is it has a stronger vegetal taste to me. I always describe its flavor as fresh-cut grass.

I must say that this Del Santo does a very good impression of Green Chartreuse. ... In the Last Word, the Del Santo does do a very good job and I think if you’d hand it to someone who didn’t know, they’d be perfectly fine with this as a Last Word.

I was a Boomsma guy until I discovered Luxardo Del Santo, which is now my go-to. I still like Boomsma, but Luxardo has a sharper, more vegetal flavor to me, which I like in chartreuse cocktails. It tastes like fresh-cut grass.
