Longines Conquest

Pros

• Wow, I've never seen the Longines Conquest before and I love it - thanks for sharing. That dial looks anything but sterile to me.
• I cannot fathom how anything from Longines can be considered as overrated. The reason Conquest is common recommendation is because many people don’t know it exists and it ticks all their boxes.
• Longines offers the most value in a luxury watch from a storied Swiss watchmaker. They’re going on 200 years. The conquest is an understated classic GADA, so I think it makes a lot of sense for it to be suggested as much as it is.
• I love the Longines. It definitely has a slightly more elevated and refined feel to it because of the polishing and the applied indices, etc. The bracelet on the conquest dare I say feels nicer but less sturdy.
• Beautiful watch! Vintage and modern all at once. Very elegant and versatile!

Cons

• When buying this, I had a few strong options like the Sinn 556, Tag Carrera, and the Longines Conquest
• To me, I feel like the Longines Conquest is a very overrated watch that feels so boring. For some reason it gives me the same feeling when i see a watch with a sterile dial, it just feels empty to me.
• I’m also torn between buying a longines conquest or a nomos clubsport neomatik as my first watch to celebrate a major milestone.
