Pros

  • If you just need to get to Europe, fly Level to Barcelona, it's €710 on May 6.

Cons

  • Every time they agreed to compensate me on the phone they would decline compensation through their portal. I had to use a third party European firm to help. One of those EU airline law firm things that assist in disputes. I got back 80%...
  • I had an issue with LEVEL a few years ago. They sent an email that our flight was delayed but it didn’t update online, I called and they assured me it was an error and my flight was fine. Got to the airport and it was delayed to the next...
  • I have called twice, both calls originally not going through and then being hung up on because “no agents are available”
  • I can’t get through to LEVEL regarding an unclear flight cancellation. If I don’t fix my flight back to the US, I can’t go on my trip at all because I can’t afford $1,700+ for a return flight.
  • I have tried the chat again 5 times and it has timed out due to “no agents being available”

What redditors said (9 of 9)

Every time they agreed to compensate me on the phone they would decline compensation through their portal. I had to use a third party European firm to help. One of those EU airline law firm things that assist in disputes. I got back 80% of my original flight cost so still lost a ton of money but that was my only success. Don’t plan on level to help. Their whole system is designed to be useless without using EU based assistance.

I had an issue with LEVEL a few years ago. They sent an email that our flight was delayed but it didn’t update online, I called and they assured me it was an error and my flight was fine. Got to the airport and it was delayed to the next day. I tried to get them to move me to another flight and they declined.

I never got that email, just like I never got the email confirming the flight they tried to switch originally (the OG email just let me know it was likely to happen). The only thing I got was an automated email with a broken button to click on that linked to no where.

Neither Iberia nor Level offer blankets and pillows in economy, so that's the same.
