Pros

  • Take the savings and fly LATAM
  • I've called them and it didn't work so I bought via LATAM, the man on the phone tried to help me very well and I respect him for that with my half-assed English, but yeah hope everything goes well with this ticket.
  • Flight flights with Latam look to be about $200-$300 less than Delta.
  • I’ve flown Latam and Virgin internationally and it has never been like that.
  • I flew with LATAM from BA to El Calafate and back (and from BA to Puerto Iguazu and back) some time ago and it was a good experience.

Anyone else notice that when searching flights on Google, the prices for LATAM are never accurate when you actually go to book them? I’m looking at flights between Miami and Santiago - google flights shows $2,700 on the search (booking through LATAM, not a 3rd party) and then when I click the link to book on LATAM website, it says $3500. What gives??

I'd buy another ticket from Aerolineas Argentinas or LATAM, with a preference for the latter.

I only used Latam a longer time ago for two return trips in Argentina and it was a very nice experience. I don't usually remember random airline flights, but these were great - new planes, comfortable seats, tasty snacks and an app that you'd install on your personal tablet for movies, etc, which looked novel back then. I don't know if they've changed since then, but I would not hesitate to fly with them again.

Thanks for sharing that, Latam seems to be winning so far in comparison to Avianca
