Pros
- Jaecoo J7 SHS is another good one.
- The Jaecoo was for me the winner, when I started it was 98k but because I was still checking other cars I missed the chance and 2026 model gone, and price went up to 110k.
- JAECOO: feels more substantial, better presence, and generally feels more like a "proper car" to me. Also cheaper if I can get a decent cash deal.
- Once I went through the settings, I could adjust the brake sensitivity and the regenerative strength etc which made it very smooth. So far no complaints about the car.
- I bought the J7 SHS a month back. So far loving it. On a full charge you get approximately 100 km. They had a good offer going on with free insurance, registration, 40k service contract and a discount. The price was 100900 AED.
Cons
- The jaecoo J7 shs was decent but 110k the S08dm is just better value for money. Feels more lux that the J7 and bigger space.

I’ve narrowed it down mainly to: Deepal S05 REEV Jaecoo J7 SHS MG HS Hybrid+ So far I’ve only test drove the Jaecoo and I really enjoyed the drive, although the ambient lights weren’t working and the salesman said that it’s a software issue that would be fixed.
Parent context: Disappointing to hear, I heard so many good things on YouTube from reviewers in Europe, the car is a best seller in the UK. Maybe they only sell B-quality to the Middle East? Reply: The same here, I did a research for more over than 2 monthsz visited plenty of different brands, driven dozens of different cars and somehow I end up feeling that the choice I made was the wrong one 😔
My car still had severe steering wheel vibrations at speeds over 90 km/h, and the app connectivity was dead. ... I’m leaving with a faulty vehicle, half resolution with no certainty on a resolution, and the knowledge that I have to restart this entire nightmare the second I land back home.
To be fair, the overall build quality and ride comfort of the J7 SHS are satisfactory—I have no specific complaints in those areas.
I took delivery of my J7 SHS this past Tuesday, and unfortunately, the experience has been exceptionally disappointing so far. Despite my initial excitement, I have encountered multiple issues right out of the gate: 1. App Connectivity Issues... 2. Glitchy Blind Spot Assist... 3. Intermittent ADAS Warnings... 4. Steering Vibration & Alignment... The car includes an emergency spare tire rather than a full-sized one. The bigger issue, however, is that there is no dedicated under-floor storage space for it in the trunk. As a result, the spare sits directly inside the cargo area, drastically reducing usable trunk space.
Once I went through the settings, I could adjust the brake sensitivity and the regenerative strength etc which made it very smooth. So far no complaints about the car.
