Reddit take

AI summary of the Reddit excerpts below — not a quote

The Mazda CX-60 is generally praised for its premium interior and powerful 3.3L inline-six engine, which users describe as providing an impressive 'pull' and surprisingly good fuel efficiency for its size. However, owner sentiment is sharply divided regarding its ride quality; while some find it smooth, a significant number of reviewers criticize the suspension as being overly stiff or harsh. Additionally, the vehicle has faced criticism for buggy infotainment software and mechanical 'teething issues' typical of a new platform.

Pros

  • Powerful and responsive 3.3L inline-six engine with a satisfying 'pull'.
  • High-quality interior materials, including Nappa leather and spacious cabin design.
  • Strong fuel efficiency for a large engine, with users reporting around 14km/L on highways.
  • Striking exterior aesthetics, particularly in Mazda's signature red.

Cons

  • Highly polarizing suspension that many find too stiff or harsh over bumps.
  • Unreliable wireless CarPlay connectivity, with frequent lags and crashes reported.
  • High and uncompetitive servicing costs.
  • Finicky wireless charging pad that requires precise phone placement.

Caveats

  • Multiple reports of steering issues, including a 'sticky' or 'notchy' feeling that may require firmware updates or steering column replacement.
  • Ride quality reports vary significantly; some newer 2025 production models are described as much softer than earlier versions.
  • The auto-brightness setting for the dashboard can be slow to adjust, remaining dim long after sunrise.

Best for

  • Drivers who prioritize engine performance and interior luxury over soft ride comfort.
  • Those looking for a premium SUV experience without the typical fuel penalty of a large engine.

Avoid if

  • You are sensitive to firm suspension or frequently drive on poorly maintained roads.
  • You require a seamless, bug-free infotainment and wireless smartphone experience.
  • You are concerned about high long-term maintenance and servicing expenses.

This summary uses balanced time weighting with about a 6-month half-life. The evidence comes from a window between February 2025 and December 2025, with a median source age of approximately 302 days. While the sample size is moderate, the high level of disagreement regarding suspension suggests variability in production or regional tuning.

CX60 actually turns tighter than a CX5 (changed CX5 for CX60 this year)

ground clearance is something like 18cm vs. 21cm (with some margine of error depending on the wheel size). It's noticeable even when driving in the city.

The feel behind the wheel of the CX-60 was insanely more immersive; I could literally feel the car "eating" the road beneath it.

CX-60 has so much more soul. It's glued to the road, I can feel every patch in the road when I am driving and I love it. It's incomparably more entertaining vehicle to drive.

The new one looks fab and offers a lot of the latest and greatest in terms of tech. But it’s brand new and it’s bound to have some teething issues. We’ve seen that with the CX-60 and CX-90.

I am facing the same issue. Visited the dealership in Riyadh, KSA and informed them about this noise. They said they will contact the relevant team in Japan and will let me know for further action. Its been around two months and did not get any feedback from the Dealership. Still I am observing and facing this noise on daily basis.

The trip was very easy, Mazda Cruise Control was mostly flawless and although I have one of the first ones the ride was very smooth and comfortable.
