Italicus

Pros

• I recently got into Italicus, just add one more part Italicus and it will make your day.
• I think it is very reminiscent of honey, almost like a honey liquor. ... I think Italicus could make a decent substitute, but will be much more citrus and floral forward, compared to the more herbal Benedictine.
• Yesterday I made : 1 oz Italicus 1 oz Suze 1 oz Tanqueray Stirred in a the rock glass with ice, garnish with Lemon Twist and the drink was pretty freaking solid. I would strongly recommend it.
• I really enjoy Italicus, but it's kind of its own thing, since there aren't many (or any) other Rosolio liqueurs available. The combination of bitter, sweet, and other floral notes makes a nice balance.

Cons

• This is intriguing, and it helps address my biggest complaint of Italicus which is that it’s so sweet, and many other recipes that use it seem to only amplify the sweetness.

• My gut says that the higher abv and slightly lower sweetness will make it easier to balance drinks, as too much Italicus can leave a drink a bit flabby.
