Intel Core Ultra 270K Plus

Pros

• If you can't afford that, and you can find the new 270K Plus, that's a better buy. It competes reasonably with the 9800X3D at $100-150 less.
• What could be better? Ditch the 14900KS and get the new 270K Plus.
• The only advantage the 270K Plus should have at that point is the new binary optimizations, 4 more E-cores (and the accompanying L3 cache) and better binning.
• If you do any productivity, the 270 absolutely spanks the x3d chips.
• The $300 270k Plus is also Intel’s fastest gaming CPU. Finally faster than the 14900ks, though still behind the 7800X3D and 9800X3D. But also, only $300 and on par with the 9700X in gaming, and somewhere just axing the 285k or just below...

Cons

• However, I could essentially get 285K performance for 70€ more if I were to sell my CPU.
• There's still part of me that's tempted to just send my essentially BNIB 265K back to Newegg and just grab the 270K Plus, even if I know it's not worth it and I should just tweak it since unless I got a chip with interconnects that just...
• The intel 270k plus is probably your best bet. As it's really speedy for editing(it has a fuckton of cores). It lags behind in raw gaming performance, but isn't that bad either. Only thing that sucks is longevity as it will most likely...
• I already saw the specs and the changes seem very minor compared to 265K (like 36MB L3 cache compared to 30MB, more memory bandwidth and speed etc) but the presentation seems to suggest the performance overall is better.
