Pros
- I9 if you really need the cores.
- In that case, stick to the i7 or i9 SKUs only—13700, 13900, 14700, or 14900.
- If you want to go Intel , get the i7 14700K or i9 , only new , used intel cpus are kinda dangerous to get.
Cons
- The issue with Intel is that the chip will degrade really fast if spent a lot of time hot (70+°C) while consuming 180+A current with an high voltage request 1.4+V VID, which was quite common with stock parts such as i9 or the last i7.
- The other day I put together one with an i9 and AIO cooler, noticed the fans were running really loud but thought it was just a PWM issue that I would deal with later. After spending 30 minutes doing Windows update and then successfully...
- I don't know the pros and cons of the i9 vs the 9950 honestly
- the i9 doesn’t even seem that good compared to Ryzen. Looks like the i9 is from 2017… 9 years ago

The other day I put together one with an i9 and AIO cooler, noticed the fans were running really loud but thought it was just a PWM issue that I would deal with later. After spending 30 minutes doing Windows update and then successfully shutting down the machine, I found that the AIO cooler was not flush with the CPU. Not even close, it was floating 3mm above it because the mounting standoffs were not the correct size. All the thermal paste had melted off the CPU from the heat and it had to be pegged at 100C the whole time I was updating it.
