4790k surprisingly still holds up playing modern games, if you consider 30fps playable.
You can install i7 4790 there,will gain a lot in heavy cpu games but it still be slow . IF you want to upgrade whole pc you can get SSD and GPU now ,and buy rest later. If not ,get an ssd and forget about the rest. No point to invest more
