Yes! You can upgrade to the i7-14700k, which is exactly what i did recently from an i5-12600f. Its an incredible processor and an absolute beast
Second: this processor is one of the hottest produced. You will need a liberal undervolt and preferably a high end air cooler or a 360 AIO. I was hitting 100°C under load (which is the max, but also within “safe limits” defined by intel) until i undervolted @ -0.085V and installed an AIO. Now i can max out every core @ 100% hitting around 80-85°C max.
If you're trying to play the microsoft flight simulator latest version in it's best form, your entire rig would have to change. 64 gb of ram, an i7 14700k ( and a mobo to use it ) and a RX 9070 or an RTX 5070 would all cost quite a penny.
