CPU - Intel Core i7-12700
That's great you might be fine then the 12700 is a solid CPU.
The 12700 is still fairly competent and the 13900 isn't that much of an upgrade to be honest.
You could also look at the 12700 as that will run your games all the same, and should be cheaper.
I have now successfully upgraded my Acer Aspire XC-1760 i7-12700 16GB ram. To 64GB ram 3200MT/s, 2x32GB sticks. Acer says it only supports max ram 32GB, but I have now confirmed that it works.
my 12700 should be a fairly nice upgrade for her, while the 3 I'm considering are within +10% of my current build, and I've found them under $300 new, couldn't really find an "upgrade" while staying with intel unless going up to over $500.

Hi, i'd personally stay away from the 13th and 14th gen cpu chips if I was in your position and go for a i7 12700 or an i9 12900 chip.
A friend recommended two processors, i7-12700 or i9-12900.
I will probably go for the 12700.
