It’s a terrible CPU
You wouldn't get any real performance gain from a CPU upgrade on that socket, you're looking at a rebuild.
Unfortunately, 4 cores 4 threads just doesn't cut it for modern games and hasn't for a while now and same with the gpu having 3gb of vram which quickly made the 1060 3gb feel obsolete.
Chances are that there is no real improvement, because both CPUs are ancient.
My CPU is i5 7400, 8gb ram, Nvidia GeForce rtx 2070 super. I kinda got back into gaming and mainly just playing arc raiders atm, it runs choppy as hell most of the time

Thanks u/everyone, I bought i5 7400 and 8GB Ram for 45€ total. It's gone from 60% to 69% benchmark for desktop computer, and it's noticeably more responsive.
my current pc is running an intel I5-7400 with an NVIDIA GeForce GTA 1050 TI and 16g's of ram. However this pc is very much running on fumes, every time i start it up it takes about 30 mins to be useable and trying to play any game is only possible on the lowest of low graphics and even then my gaming experience is very much hindered by this potato
