Intel Core i5-4690

The 4690k will bottlekneck anything more than a GTX 980. Full stop. It’s too old and the pipeline just can’t push enough data through. And you only have the 4690, without the K. It has a high overhead coefficient and while it was a great processor for its time, it’s time has come and gone. It’s time to seriously consider finding a secondhand 5600x or better cpu/mobo.

Let's be real: that set-up just isn't built for good, stable 4K gaming.

Intel cpu's also have huge cpu overhead. Intel can patch this on a per game basis but it'll still rear it's ugly head when you have a cpu weaker than a ryzen 5 3600 which you do. The i5 4690 is laughably weak in comparison so there is humongous overhead.

Intel GPUs really thrive on resizable bar and the 4690 predates that. Anything older than 10th gen is kind of the cutoff line for it It will be a sizable chokehold.
