So far, only thing I can find is Intel Arc A310 series a bit over $120 and perhaps A380 for $150-ish. But those are quite old. Not sure how current their Linux drivers might be. And how well do their en/decoders cover current standards.

If you absolutely want a dedicated GPU for longevity or AI tasks, look at the Intel Arc A380 (around $110). It is significantly newer than the RX 580 (2022 vs 2017), consumes way less power, has modern AV1 video encoding, and easily drives 3-4 monitors.

Looking at the A380 I see a few potential issues: -it’s a PCIe 4.0 card which means my pcie 3.0 motherboard slots will limit the data bandwidth potential. A 3.0 card uses the full 16 lanes. -I’ve read my motherboard doesn’t support ‘ReBAR’ which intel GPUs need -it’s a 75W card. Would probably be ok but my z240 docs say not to exceed 45W in the GPU slots

Intel ARC A380 is also an option for that price range , it also has decent amount of performance although again not quite sure how the support is and not be able to enable ReBar is also problematic so you lose some performance from that too.
