I also have an 85" hisense U8N. While technically the U8N is better, I'd rather watch a movie on the projector.

I have 2 u8's. A 65" u8h in the living room and 85" u8n for the theater and I've never felt like I was lacking anywhere or needing some kind of upgrade. The blacks are very impressive for a non OLED.
I crossed shopped the LG G5 against the QM8 and Hisense U8N, and ended up going with the Hisense. To my eyes the Mini LED TV's deliver 95% of the OLED picture for 1/3 the price, and have superior brightness.
upgraded my living room TV from a Hisense U8N to the S90D... the 2024 Hisense U8N. Black levels are nearly indistinguishable in most scenes anymore unless you're in a completely dark room.
I recommend Hisense U8N because it offers a good balance of features like 4K, HDR, generally low input lag and have a good price.
another good choice for value is Hisense U8N, very comparable to QM7K.
If budget then stepping up the the QM8 or U8N will get you a bit more.
