Hisense U8

Hisense U7 for about half the price or their U8 for a little less. Not sure why some ppl on this forum dislike them but they have putting out some of the best tvs on the market and at the most competitive pricing.

The U8 is noticeably brighter and has better local dimming, which is great for movie credits and high-contrast scenes. ... if you're a videophile who wants the best, get the U8 on sale.

The Hisense U8 is the brightness king here. Its anti-glare screen is fantastic, and it has the most dimming zones, making it ideal for sports and HDR movies in a bright room. For the price, it's untouchable.

but wish I had really gotten the Hisense U8.

The U8 effectively gives you Mini-LED performance that competitors reserve for their QN90B or X95K series, which cost significantly more.

For that money, I can get the Hisense U8 which seems to have every bell and whistle on paper – crazy high brightness, a ton of dimming zones, and that 144Hz/165Hz panel for my PS5.

I’d wait until fall sales and look at a qm8k instead. Or a Hisense u8.

I went from an OLED to a mini led Hisense u8 mostly because the size for the price was way easier to swallow than an OLED of equal size. The black levels are great and I've been impressed with them coming from an OLED. Not inky black levels but for the money I saved, it's impressive.
