Pros
- I want a grill pan to roast veggies. Love me a grill line on asparagus and squash and onions and etc etc
- I love my grill pan. Cleaning it is easy. Once it's not ripping hot anymore, just pour some water into it and let it soak during the meal. Afterwards, scrub it with a stainless steel scouring thingy and soap.
- I find it easy to clean. First I remove as much as I can with hot water, then I use coconut scrubber with dish soap to get everything in between.
- Still use mine for grilled pineapple, sirloin steaks, veggie planks (like squash), making carrots look pretty after steaming to par-cook, et cetera.
Cons
- I love grill pans, but it has quite limited use, but I'm ok with that 😎
- They arnt worth the money. Same effect on a normal pan. Suck for steak or chicken unless you just want lines.
- Grill pan is great for meals like this that are easy to clean. I just hate cleaning it when cooking things like chicken breast on it. Hotdogs or sandwiches are a good use for these pans
- It's a garbage pan for cooking, that mostly first time cast iron users purchase because they think it will cook like a grill. Then they find out it absolutely doesn't and it's extremely difficult to clean.
- Parent context: They are a pain in the ass to clean, and don't cook anywhere remotely like a grill. Lol. $150? Just because someone lists it for that much doesn't mean its worth that much. You gotta find the right sucker to pay that pric...

Parent context: Before everyone jumps all over the grill pan, I accept almost all of the criticism of these but I still use them because they are so quick and gentle for searing reverse seared meats. Reply: I use mine to bake potatoes in the oven. Its a pain to clean but i already own it and i want to use it and it works well.
