Govee Lights

Pros

• I wrote a script that changes the color of the Govee lights in my home gym based on what zone my heart rate is in while exercising
• I’ll stick to my govee lights without the govee app.
• Govee lights sync to what’s on screen!
• Lighting is pretty good to add for some additional immersion, I used Govee lights and they don’t disappoint.
• I have the Govee lights back lighting my TV. I got the cheapest model and it works great. You can change colors or have it flicker with sounds from the TV, which are great for watching sports.

Cons

• Govee lights are the same “sale” price as they were normal last month.
• Govee lights are expensive for what they do.
• I cleared out the Govee lights, did what you suggested. Still not perfect, but it now sees all of my lights and they are responding better. Still get the occasional one that decides not to do anything during the automation, but then I do...
• Parent context: Ahh ok gotcha, yea the Lan API is only available sadly on 2 of my rope lights, those are what worked best until I changed HA to use the HACS addon version, it's like it switched those to cloud based now and barely respons...
• I literally set up my Home Assistant on Saturday and have been having issues getting Govee lights to work properly.
