GL.iNet Flint 2

Pros

• If you're looking for an outright suggestion for a router, Gl.inet flint 2 or tp-link archer ax80, flash either one with community openwrt build.
• I was checking out the GL.iNet Flint series, probably the Flint 2 since the 3 looks like a downgrade ( Aside form the wifi 7) and like that it has Wireguard built in.
• The Flint 2 or 3 will be much better routers for less money with way better wifi.
• Just came back to say this is one hell of a recommendation, the flint 2 seems an amazing machine.
• Yes, the flint 2 or 3 are better than both in the title.

Cons

• I'm replacing some aging Apple routers (two Time Capsules and an AirPort Extreme) with 3x GL.iNet Flint 2 routers in my home.
• Setting everything up on the Ubiquiti side was very easy, on the GL.iNet (and even vanilla OpenWRT) side, not so much. As I've read more and more into it, it seems like there are many people who have wanted to setup VLANs on their Flint...
• this [post](https://www.reddit.com/r/openwrt/comments/1lrpqqn/sqm_speeds/) is about the Flint 2 and it can't do more than a Gig.
• Flint 2 has been recommended but I’m hesitant as it’s dual band and I think tri band will be better for us, we have newer phones so will utilise the 6GHz frequency. It’s also only Wifi 6, not 6E
• I was looking at the Flint 2, though I don’t know if that’ll suit my needs.
