  • Just saw Microcenter has the Gigabyte 5080 in stock again for 1379
  • I missed out on the Gigabyte 5080 sale at micro center last week sadly. So I was looking at the Asus TUF 5080 but the price is significantly higher.

Cons

  • The gigabyte cards may or may not have thermal putty and that has worried some people. Supposedly they're fine now but we will see I guess.
  • I can get a Gigabyte 5080 for $1079 right now from newegg brand new.. so I don't think I would do this for less than a $200 savings.

The Gigabyte is overall the best choice for me personally but it lacks fuse on the 12V power connector(just like many other brands from the 5080 series), another thing is that I will have to watch out for the serial number, making sure its SN2520 and above because of the liquid gel thing that's oozing everywhere.
