Pros

  • Having tested drive the Geely 3 times last month, undoubtedly the Geely. Great car IMHO, looks good outside and inside, great sound system and features.
  • Geely EX5 EM-i for me. You said fuel efficient and comfortable, and that's exactly where it wins. ~85-90 km pure EV range means your daily commute uses no petrol at all... DC fast charging does 30-80% in about 16 minutes, and the Volvo e...
  • My pick is the Geely.Solid, stable car, and the AGMC dealership backing is a big deal — parts, service network and resale all get easier when a well-established group holds the contract. It also has the most owner reviews of the lot
  • Got mine from ADNIC for Geely ex5 em-i. My UAE driving license age was 2 months.
  • Driven 12K+ Kms, Ride feels smooth + ventilated seats and best part is the remote AC start.

Cons

  • Parent context: I took the delivery earlier this week. I haven't driven it much yet to share any thing of substance. I am very happy with the purchase. Just the fact that I can't find any accessories easily is a little annoying, perhaps...
  • The drawbacks I noticed so far are the slightly floaty suspension especially around uneven roads and inconsistent app connectivity.
  • I also tried the Geely EX5 EM-i, a little disappointing in terms of power, but I'm a big fan of the interior (tho they look kinda the same tbh).
  • The front looks flat and does not look very nice, subjective but it just feels incomplete.
  • Found the leather to be v fakish/rubberish The body of the car vs a polestar was v flimsy

The most impressive part is the electric car like driving feels and smooth steering. The ride quality/noise even when the engine is running is great. Car felt stable in the highway with acceptable wind noise above 125+ speeds.

Parent context: If battery is depleted and you drive highway - lets say 130km/h - is the engine too noisy? Reply: I never found it to be very noisy, even at speeds above 130 km/h. You can feel that the engine is working, but the noise level remains fairly consistent regardless of whether you're driving at higher or lower speeds. In my experience, the cabin stays quite calm and comfortable
