I had the Fluval Plant 3.0 for years on a low-tech non-CO2 tank and it all depends on what you want from it. They definitely will grow plants, the app is relatively easy to use and they are very water-resistant. The problem that people into high-tech aquascaped aquariums have with it is the color temperature which tends to give everything a kind of yellowish tint
